Barth Bite for Tuesday January 12, 2016

Reading my ten pages of Barth today was a challenge because it was all in small print. But it was fascinating to read Barth’s exposition of the first chapters of the Bible and his interpretation of what it means to be created in the image of God. Here is one sentence that stood out:
“A man who was crucified and who died in Jerusalem is the Messiah, the Son of God, and the image of God.” – KarlBarth, Church Dogmatics, Volume III.1 Doctrine of Creation, page 201
